Shan Nicholson is an award winning filmmaker, DJ, music producer, and counter/pop culture storyteller. Nicholson’s feature-length documentary, Rubble Kings, was released nationally and internationally in 2015. The film’s theatrical release received wide critical acclaim, most notably as a New York Times' Critics Pick, eventually making its way to Netflix’s most popular list. A narrative television series and feature length script based off the film is currently in development. In 2016, Nicholson partnered with TV veteran (Heroes creator) Tim Kring and Imperative Entertainment on a six part docu-series entitled “Once In a Lifetime”. Beyond his burgeoning success as a writer, producer, and documentary film director, Nicholson has focused equal attention to online content and music videos, with premieres on pop culture tastemaker sites such as Pitchfork, MTV, VH1, and Rolling Stone.
